Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to get through this thing called a failed New Year’s Resolution. Is that how the Prince lyrics go? Either way, this may come as a shock to my dedicated readers, but I am a few movies short of the full list of AFI’s 100 Greatest American Films of All Time (10th Anniversary Edition). A few dozen, that is.
As it turns out, deciding to do a movie blog while working full time, finishing graduate school and being in a friend’s wedding, among life, holidays, friends and family, proves to be ill advised. To top it off, I also signed up for Regal Unlimited. The argument could be made I am seeing a lot of movies, just not the right movies.

When I first floated the idea of this blog, intended mainly as a mechanism for accountability, my sister said I should only do it if I would actually finish it. Here we are, blog unfinished.
Now a decision must be made, fade out with no mention of this failure or accept it and double down for another year. I’m going to assume you can infer, based on the explicitly stated title, that I think all I need is a second year.

So buckle up, a warning I often give out while driving my very swank 2004 Pontiac Vibe named Thatcher. As the warning typically goes, the ride will assuredly be bumpy, you may be staring death in the face, but hey, we’ve always made it out alive.
Should I have committed to doing the graphics and writing such long posts? Absolutely not! And they say insanity is doing the same thing, but expecting other results. Luckily, I am just crazy enough.
